Production got faster. Judgment did not.

Research, first-draft copy, layout exploration, and image production used to consume most of a project budget. Those steps are now dramatically faster. Deciding what a business should say, who it is for, and what a customer needs to see first still takes experience.

What this means for a small business

Work that once required a team and a long timeline can be completed more efficiently by a smaller, well-directed operation. The saving is real, but it comes from removing overhead and waiting, not from removing care.

Questions worth asking any provider

  1. Who reviews the output?

Someone should be reading every line before it reaches you. Ask who, and what they change when something is wrong.

  2. How is accuracy checked?

AI will state things confidently that are not true about your business. Ask what stops that reaching your live site.

  3. Will the copy reflect what my business actually does?

Generic copy is the tell. The words should come from your services, your service area, and how you actually sell.

  4. Who owns the result?

You should own the finished site, the copy, and the domain. Get that in writing before work starts.

A provider who cannot answer those clearly is selling speed without a standard.
